Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy.

Benito Mussolini (1883-1945)

For me every ruler is an alien that defies public opinion.

Mohandas Karamchand GANDHI (1869-1948)

From behind the Iron Curtain, there are signs that tyranny is in trouble and reminders that its structure is as brittle as its surface is hard.

Dwight. D Eisenhower (1890-1969)

When the tempest rages, when the thunders roar, and the lightnings blaze around us it is then that the truly brave man stands firm at his post.

Luther Martin

I care not what others think of what I do, but I care very much about what I think of what I do! That is character!

Theodore Roosevelt

Come forward as servants of Islam, organise the people economically, socially, educationally and politically and I am sure that you will be a power that will be accepted by everybody.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah (1876-1948), Pakistan.

I see how easy it is, under the delusion of ‘REFORMASI’, to go against all tradition, education, authority and ‘Hak Bumiputra’. But if I avoid that delusion, then I find the real DEMOKRASI, that which comes from showing an ideal to others and honoring and respecting that ideal ourselves.

Nowaday man’s cry for democracy is in order to pull down another man from his high place, instead of taking enough trouble to rise to high places by his own efforts and with the justification in his own conscience of deserving that place.

Whatever man earns in life, and however great and rich he becomes through it, without the development of the sense of justice he is like a blind man…..

Could you please elaborate of whom are you talking about here?.. coz if u are condenming the “REFORMASI” i would prefer to know on what ground?

For you should have known better, that democracy under a tyranny of a dictator couldn’t be tolerate and nothing can bring him down in a legal way. Even the General Election were not fair for the past 51 years?.. in other country.. things would be worst!!

    What do you suggest?..

    raktamrittika ,

Whichever UMNO, PAS, PKR or whoever always believed they could SETUP a form of Goverment that would give FAIR and EQUAL say in HOW THE COUNTRY WAS RUN!

To a further elaboration of the relationship between ‘Politikus’ and ‘Rakyat’.

What are we seeking for? Reformasi? Demokrasi? Liberasi?… Life? Knowledge? Power? Happiness? Love? Yes, sure. But do we find it? Yes, we do. At least it appears so. But it slips out of our hold sooner or later. It is not our control. We depend upon things outside ourselves. Let us find our real being as ‘Rakyat, Bumiputra or Muslimin’. All is to be found there, inside ourselves. And yet, if our purpose would only be for ourselves, where do we go? What is this all for? Who is that being which is ourselves? The purpose of ‘Reformasi’ is in the ideal. It is in serving one’s fellow men, in realizing that Tyranny/Dictator/Coruption etc, is everywhere, in our fellow man, inside and outside, everywhere, anywhere.

Do you think? To realize this deeply is the purpose of life of ‘Reformasi/Demokrasi’ or else.

To be frank and sincere.. i dont know!..really!! and i suppose u dont too. No one does.. and that’s life is all about. The uncertainty, the unexpectable, the suspense and most of all the learning process and knowledge that we gain along the way!.

All these NONSENSE about democracy, reformation..liberation, power struggle, tyranny and dictatorship, dreams and ambitions are just for us to LIVE THE LIFE!! At least with something to fight for and to believe in and to contain by the course of LIVING. Everyone has the purpose for their existance.. and i’m just trying to figure out mine.

I dont know whether or not what i believe is the RIGHT one/thing.(except for ISLAM as my religion and ALLAH as the one and only GOD). How can anyone be sure?..the future are not to be foreseen. This particular person that we adore now (DSAI), would might be as bad or even worst than the one we are trying to TERMINATE.(politically) THE PAKATAN RAKYAT may not be all so credible to run the government as they claim to be. All we can do is, hope for the best, cross fingered.

So S.A.M.. I really do understand what u are trying to emphasise here but..let it be.. coz there’s no way we can live this life of ours, just to make sure everything is RIGHT!

  • MH370: Krisis komunikasi seperti isu kangkung 2 April,2014
Dato’ Sri Hishamuddin berjaya mengawal keadaan tetapi akibat kegagalan sebelumnya, tela […]

And here we are again….back in a full circle…..and this time all ready and pumped up to finish what we were supposed to have done the 12th General Election 5 years ago. There’s been an avalanche of feeds in my Facebook page this time round, on this General Election and it feels good…….OH BOY!! Does […]

“If he stamps his feet, I will shudder.” – Datin Seri Rosmah, describing her husband; whilst overzealously trying to portray a mousy image of herself. “ … do not provoke him. If he is angry, there is no forgiveness for you.” – again, Datin Seri Rosmah, attempting to conjure a rather fearsome image of her […]

  • “We stand together as sky falls” 5 November,2012
Skyfall – the latest 007 Bond – is quite a philosophical movie that focuses on the theme of ‘death’. Time has come that even Bond ponders if his work, patriotism or nationalism is worth dying for after a mission in Turkey where he was accidently shot by an accomplice. At the start of the movie, […]
  • Merdeka thoughts 2012. 30 August,2012
Nothing is as sweet as the promise of democracy! That is the clarion call of the rally by Bersih supporters last evening. As oppose to the 1Malaysia-Janji diTepati (promises fulfilled) – BN propaganda theme of this year’s Merdeka. That latter slogan at once invite brickbats and the stare of disapproval from the critical eye. We wonder… […]
